After a successful Pilot in Berlin during 2006, the Roll Out to the entire business was completed at the end of May 2007 – with the rentalresult application being deployed to 120 depots across Germany.

Having reviewed a number of other rental management software applications, MVS Zeppelin chose rentalresult as the software with the highest value regarding to offered functionality and costs of implementation to handle the complex and diverse requirements of their rental business. As one of the largest CAT Rental Stores in Europe - and as part of the Zeppelin organisation, one of the largest Caterpillar dealers in the world, they also required a flexible system to be easily interfaced to their corporate SAP ERP system.

In addition, MVS Zeppelin wished to take advantage of the standard output XML facilities to create their own fully customised business documents. Christian Dummler, Managing Director of Zeppelin Heavy Machines, commented that their final XML Hire Contract Document was “one of the best looking customer facing documents in Germany”.
