You can also use the answers to those questions to gather additional information about the customer and their intended usage of your product to offer additional services, added value sales and safety information and store the answers to all their questions against the contract for later reference in legal or dispute situations.

Address complex requirements

The product configurator can be used to initiate a rental, going direct from product identification and availability checks to the rental agreement itself, or it can be embedded within the rental process to allow employees to use it in specific situations where a client has particularly complex requirements. You can even embed individual product-specific configurators within both rental and sales to allow you to configure asset level specification information if your product mix requires such a level of detail.

Integrated e-commerce

To take the process a stage further we have now integrated the rules engine and the product configurator into our e-commerce solution, meaning that you can offer your customers the ability to select their own products based on the same series of questions eradicating the possibility of mistakes and mis-ordering which often worry rental businesses when dealing with the on-line marketplace.
