rentalresult provides sales process management options to numerous markets and industries. The majority of our customers achieve some proportion of their revenue from sales, in some cases this may be up to 50% in others it may be a much smaller proportion. Over the last 15 years our sales functionality has been enhanced to offer not only traditional retail of new equipment and consumables but some specialized rental industry specific options such as Rent to Buy (Rent to Own) and Used equipment sales.

The sales processing modules are fully integrated into the rest of the rentalresult applications allowing companies to use the features that support their rental business from a purchasing, maintenance and asset management perspective as well as integrating into the financial side of the system.

Specialist sales processing features include:

  • Branch Control Center for managing the standard sales process including quotes & inquiries, contracts/orders, allocation of assets and consumables, picking processes, and dispatch or shipping processes.
  • Manage customer returns through controlled transactions which automatically handle credits and asset register changes including re-instating sold assets.
  • Specialized Rent to Own functions to allow for the creation of rental contracts that will become Sales contracts on a specific date. Includes automated asset processing and billing based on the contract terms and dates.
  • Specialized Used Equipment Sales functions to allow you to separate used fleet due for disposal from the rest of the rental fleet, mark assets for auction and create auction files if required. Ability to combine used and new sales on the same transaction if required.
  • Real-time view of sales reservations and availability within a branch, region, division, company or across multiple companies.
  • Multiple level sales pricing policies based on product type at branch, region, company, customer and transaction level with discount based pricing by quantity.
  • Additional Service charges managed as transaction specific suggested services eg delivery, insurance charges.
  • Ability to include warranty information on sales contracts and invoices.
  • Internal document management for associating specification requirements etc to sales quotes and contracts.
  • Insurance management based on customer details and insurance certificates recorded against the customer account.
  • Full AR integration to manage credit status, workflow and credit approval.
  • Full audit control of all financial and operational activities.
