Servicing and Workshop Processing

At the heart of the rentalresult application lie the asset modules which allow you to manage the lifecycle of an asset within your business. The servicing and workshop modules have been designed to allow you to capture, record and report on the costs associated with your assets whether these come from preventative maintenance work or from adhoc repairs and customer damage.

The servicing and workshop processing modules are fully integrated into the rest of the rentalresult applications allowing companies to use the features that support their rental and sales businesses from ordering parts to linking damage repairs to rental contracts. All activities carried out in the workshop ultimately feed cost information back to the asset register and can be captured in the GL through the fully integrated financials.

Specialist maintenance and workshop processing features include:

  • Asset Controller for managing the standard workshop, maintenance, asset status and service unit capture functions against all your owned assets. Includes fitter/mechanic allocation and conflict visibility (eg an asset due for service which is currently on rent).
  • Management of preventative and scheduled services automatically triggered by specific dates, time intervals, workflow status and/or clock/meter readings.
  • Integrated work orders into rental and sales modules for customer billing of installation services and damage management.
  • Manage Warranty and Certification as well as printing out valid examination and test certificates at point of rental or sales dispatches.
  • Create simple inspection records or more complex Job sheets incorporating multiple worksheets and itemized parts and labor usage.
  • Service consolidation and rescheduling to maximise efficiency.
  • Fully integrated parts and inventory tracking including warehouse and bin location management.
  • Service 3rd party equipment as well as owned equipment.
  • Integrated into purchase ordering for parts and 3rd party servicing including preferred vendor management.

  • Multiple level sales pricing policies based on parts at branch, region, company, customer and transaction level with discount based pricing by quantity.
  • Ability to automatically revalue assets based on cost of refurbishment type services.
  • Ability to componentize assets automatically through specific workshop events. E.g. adding a new engine to an asset.
